Propolis is a natural resinous substance that bees collect from tree buds and bark and then enrich with their own enzymes. In the hive they use it to protect the colony – as a natural "shield" with which they seal cracks, maintain hygiene and prevent the growth of microorganisms. It is precisely for this reason that propolis has for centuries been called the "bee antibiotic" in folk tradition.
Our propolis spray is a 20% solution of propolis in alcohol, obtained by macerating raw propolis. This process extracts the active substances from the propolis, while expert preparation by a licensed pharmacist ensures quality and the preservation of its natural properties.
In folk tradition propolis was used in various ways – as a dietary supplement, for care of the oral cavity and skin, or simply as a natural bee product. The propolis spray is a practical format for use in the oral cavity and for skin care. It is important to note that propolis is a natural product and reactions may vary from person to person, so its use is not recommended for people allergic to bee products.
Our propolis spray was tested in the accredited laboratory of the Institute of Public Health in Požarevac. The results confirm that the spray is 100% natural and compliant with the Regulation on the quality of honey and other bee products ("Official Gazette of RS", no. 101/2015).
