Our propolis drops are made to a traditional recipe, based on bee propolis from the untouched nature of Gornja Lisina. They are obtained by macerating propolis in alcohol, which preserves the natural properties of this precious bee product. The drops are prepared by a licensed pharmacist, providing additional expertise and control at every stage of preparation.
Propolis is a natural resinous substance that bees collect from tree buds and bark and then enrich with their own enzymes. In the hive they use it to protect the colony – as a natural "shield" with which they seal cracks, maintain hygiene and prevent the growth of microorganisms. It is precisely for this reason that propolis has for centuries been called the "bee antibiotic" in folk tradition.
Our propolis drops are a 20% solution of propolis in alcohol, obtained by macerating raw propolis. This process extracts the active substances from the propolis, while expert preparation by a licensed pharmacist ensures quality and the preservation of its natural properties.
In folk tradition propolis was used in various ways – as a dietary supplement, for care of the oral cavity and skin, or simply as a natural bee product. Today it is most often used as drops diluted in water, tea or milk, and it can also be applied externally for skin care. It is important to note that propolis is a natural product and reactions may vary from person to person, so its use is not recommended for people allergic to bee products.
Our propolis drops were tested in the accredited laboratory of the Institute of Public Health in Požarevac. The results confirm that the drops are 100% natural and compliant with the Regulation on the quality of honey and other bee products ("Official Gazette of RS", no. 101/2015).
