Meadow Honey

Our meadow honey comes from the untouched nature of Gornja Lisina, at 1,300 m above sea level. The bees create it from the nectar of numerous mountain plants, meadow flowers and wild herbs. It is precisely this diversity of plants that gives it a rich, balanced taste, a distinctive aroma and natural body.

The colour of meadow honey ranges from light gold to a darker amber shade, depending on the foraging period and the plants in bloom at the time. That is why every jar carries its own unique "signature of nature". Crystallisation is a natural property of this honey and a sign that it is pure and unprocessed – in meadow honey it usually appears fine to medium grained.

The honey was tested in an accredited laboratory, analysing the key quality parameters: moisture content, sugar content (glucose, fructose, sucrose), diastase number and HMF. Based on the results obtained, it was confirmed that our meadow honey fully meets all requirements of the Regulation on the quality of honey and other bee products ("Official Gazette of RS" no. 101/2015).

The results showed that it contains less than 2% sucrose (up to 5% is permitted), which means it is proven to be free of added sugar, while the majority consists of natural sugars – glucose and fructose – which give it its natural sweetness and energy.

Meadow honey is most often used as a natural sweetener, an addition to teas, dairy products and cakes, or simply as an everyday treat. We pack it by hand in small batches, so that every jar reaches the customer exactly as the bees made it – natural and authentic.
